Yeah i know Kim, but there so many other parts that are pure motorsport parts only, so for me this i not longer a problem, its not built for comfort any more, use my BMW for daily driving.

schön zu sehen wie du mit deinem 16er Fortschritte machst

Die Hartmann Motorsport-Ansaugbrücke ist ein seltenes Stück und bei der FA. Hartmann leider nicht mehr erhältlich.

Wäre es nicht besser gewesen du hättest 48mm Drosselklappen verwendet, damit soll der 2.5er Langhuber etwas mehr Drehmoment haben als mit den 50mm Klappen.

Ich freue mich jedenfalls darauf weitere Fortschritte von deinem Projekt hier bei uns im Forum zu sehen und lesen.
Natürlich hoffe ich auch ein paar Schweden dieses Jahr beim DTM Revival am Hockenheim- Ring zu treffen

I was thinking about 48mm first, but Henrik convinced me getting 50mm instead.

Been down to the garage today and i have come to the conclusions that theres no way i will be able to put the engine alltogether before summer. I have way to much work coming up.

But i made deal with Johan, he wil put the engine together and put it back in, all for a very reasonable amount. Since i know Johan have years of experience with the 16v i feel very confident.

I will also wait with some mods before next winter.

I will however go ahead with EFI and TBs

I started cleaning the rear wheel wells today, and fitted my new Zimmermann Discs, will need some more scrubbing to get some of the dirt off, but im pretty satisfied with how i turned today.

First of all, sorry for the really crappy pictures, used ISO800 on the camera for some reason. Will get some better next week.
Got on with the car today. Its finally down on the ground, and this is how it looks when using Motorsport suspension on the rear and stock 16v up front and not having a engine in, and yes those are 16" Evos.



I also removed the complete air conditioner, i will however keep the parts, so i can always put it back in i feel like it, at least i saved a few kilos removing it.




All the piping removed, but still needs a good wash


Stock 16v spring and H&R Group G 320nm/nm, spot the difference...




I have begun cleaning up the engine bay, but its hard getting any good results, especially since there no clear coat so it looks kinda dull even if its clean. But ill give it another shot next weekend and hopefully i will get most of the grease and dirt off.

I only had some 320 wetordry sandpaper at home, as you can see there are still a lot of scratches, need to get some finer next week.

My gasket set came today so by the end of the week the engine together with gearbox should go be back in.

Have ordered new 18" wheels from Compomotive now, same as Jack Beckers i belive, see picture. Im also waiting for my Evo 1 arches from a good friend of mine.

They are very heavy so not suited for track-days, price is around 1075 GBP
