Thank you.

Things that need to be sorted.

- Put the exhaust back up
- Connect the new lines for the vacuum system, from VEMS box to MAP.
- Put the interior bits back in,
- Threads on my oil cooler were bad so i need get that sorted, then i can put it back in
- Order new tyres
- Order new front brake discs, put my Brembos calipers on
- Various small parts from Mercedes as ignition wires, distributor cap, repair kit for gear linkage and of course a battery
- Put all fluids back in
- Final checkup that all sensors are working with VEMS box

Two more weekends and it should all be done.

Here are few pics from the last couple of days.

Found my old Becker radio that came with the car and decided to put it back in,

This is for the oil filter adapter install, the threaded part was a bit to long so it fouled the oil temp and pressure sensor, so we needed to cut them down
to the correct length,

Bild

Finished result, sensors and hose connectors screwed back in.

Adapter plate bolted to the block, this plate is needed when you use ITBs, the original oil filter housing will hit the ITB manifold,
Bild

Soldering time, we finished the last part of the VEMS install, this is the wiring for the Trigger sensor,
Bild

Finished result, we used a high quality Hirschmann connector, just to make it more service friendly for example when you take the engine out. Just disconnect it, no need to remove
the Trigger sensor from the engine.
Bild

New alternator belt, i had AC before, but we took it out so we needed the shorter alternator belt.

Everything back in place except for the intake and battery.

New bushings for the front control arms. I had these made in Thailand, quality seems very good.

Been looking for a set of 7,5" Evo 2s for a long time now, cant find any used ones. But i came across a company called Alloy Wheels Direct in the UK, and i found a set of brand new Evo 2s in Titanium for £540, rather cheap i thought, Especially since Mercedes Germany says they aint available anymore.

Need to sort a set of Toyo R888 semi slicks now, in 215/45 I think. I now its not the lightest wheel out there, but i will have to do.

Looks rather small without any tyres.

Im getting a set of Speedline decals made,

And voila, almost like the real thing B)

Sold my old manifold and bought Atecs, instead, matched to my cylinder head and 50mm DCOE Throttle bodies which i already got. I will
manfucature my own adapter plate between throttle bodies and carbon air box.

Hallo Mikael,

Thank you very much everyone.

Frank, i whish i could be ready to the meet at Hockenheim, but i think it will be hard. Im having trouble finding someone that can do the Evo 1 conversion at the rear.

I was down in the garage today, and tried fitting my new intake from Atec. Im considering getting the adapter plate between the throttle bodies and airbox that Atec also sells, together with air trumpets from VGS, but it depends on how much it costs. I have thought about doing it myself, but i havent really got the time.

I probably also need to get a new hose for the cooler, it hits the airbox now, and i need to get the filter box so it lines up with the airbox, its not sitting correct now.

Here is the problem:

1. coolant hose is in the way,

2. The angle of the filter house is wrong, do i perhaps need to modify the
cooler or its position? Does anyone know?

Thank you Norbert, i have the large cooler and it would be hard to move it 6 cm i think.

Patrick in this thread seem to have the large cooler but it doesnt look like he have moved the cooler, but has made custom coolant hose.

Ich auch an meinem EVOI. Haben Sie kühlungs probleme gehabt?

@tising

das Auto ist noch nicht fertig, ich habe noch keine Erfahrungswerte

@JM Motorsport

dann mußt du den Kühler soweit möglich anheben und befestigen
und den Kühlwasserschlauch leicht nach oben weg zum Motor verlegen
so sieht es bei Patrick auf dem Foto aus
