I keep working to be able to come to Hockenheim, last time we visited was in 2007 :(

Anyway, i left the car at the paintshop yesterday, hopefully it will be ready soon.

We put the car on a trailer to transport it to the paintshop. On the way to the paintshop we weighed the trailer and car together will all parts that we removed before painting. The only thing that is missing are the fibreglass bumpers, which weigh 9 kg.

Total weight together with trailer was:

1480 KG, trailer should weigh around 400kg. So hopefully we are below 1100 kg. Will weigh it again when i have put everything back together as well to check.

Next time it will be freshly painted

It looks awesome and fascinates me how you managed to reduce weight of the car! :schraub

Have you measured what happened to weight balance ratio front axle / rear axle after installing carbon parts?

Looking forward to meet you at the HH event.

Hi no not yet, i will need to do a proper corner weight. I wont be all done by HH, but i will come anyway. I would have hoped i would able to move the battery to the rear but there is simply no time.

Last year the rear end felt nervous, hopefully a new 4 wheel alignment will take care of this, and i will lower the car a bit more. Second problem is that i wont be able to adjust the rear or front end as i would like to since don't have installed adjustable struts or top mounts. That is next on the list for next season.

I talked to Henrik Rosengren (The swedish collector of 190 DTM cars) about wheel alignment, and he gave me some useful advice. One was to lower the car even further on the rear axle and then do a new alignment, he gave me me measurements to try

We are doing the final preparations for Hockenheim now. Bumpers will be send off for painting, final tweaks to Efi to get it running properly, fitting the Power Pack exhaust and then a wheel alignment. Plus a extra feature which i will not reveal until Hockenheim.

I found the olde style wiper mechanism, fitted and weighs almost 4kg less then the later model.

Works fine, but i would need the proper coverings around the wiper.

About 1 year ago borrowed some parts from my friend Erics ex Kärcher Evo 2. These are the quick fit bumper system:

The yellow cones can be seen in this pictures, they were made of KEvlar

Here is the front bumper fitted, the quick fasteners are turned 45 degrees and the bumper can then be taken off as one part. Very light

We also fitted the fasteners for the carbon fibre bonnet:
