Hallo Leute.

This summer I have been on vacation for 2 weeks. First to EM Rallycross in Höljes, Sweden. Then a day at the Volvo-museum in Gothenburg. Unfortunately I had forgot the memorycard for my pocket-camera so first after the visit I remebered to buy a new one. After the Volvo-museum we went through Denmark and headed for Germany where we visit Thorsten Stadler, Fränk Dollwett and the Mercedes-Benz Museum in Stuttgart. Don't have enough time today to tell everything, but will post some pictures for teasing you all :D

Littlebit south of Gothenburg we spotted this W201. Schlechter zustand :P

Hi Arnt.

Nice picture Frank :D
We really enjoyd visiting you all, and hope that it won't be too long until next visit!

Here you see the weather when we were crossing the bridge between Själland and Jylland (I think. Will check it later)
Nice and hot, and sun all day :D

In the parking-area at Citti-Park in Flensburg I spotted this W201. Complete car in okey condition :)

We were now heading for Hann. Münden and Team Stadler Motorsport.
Even that we arrived late in afternoon, they were still working! A quick overview on my rauschsilber, changing the injectors and the rubberhoses for the KE were done before we decided to come back the day after.

Thorsten rekommanded this hotel, Alter Packhof (right in the picture), in the middle of the town.

Bringing our stuff from the car. Should be good with a shower now :)

The room looks good.
My last hotel wasn't so good, even if it had 4 stars.

Nice pictures.

The room was very nice :)

In the evening we decided to have a walk in the Midtstatte. This evening it was the half-final between Germany and Spain. We were hengry and wanted a pizza to eat, and because everyone were outside, we were the only two persons inside the restaurant when eating :D

The next morning Thorsten and Patrick (?) did a CO-adjust. The verspannungrelay had to be changed too because of the unstable idle.

After a nice stay in Hann. Münden we started to drive south and heading for Zweibrücken.

Heavy traffic!

Bild

I didn't contact Frank until 15km before we arrived Zweibrücken, but we were lucky and he and his family were able to meet us.
I had bought a set of Lorinser RS rims, and this was one reason why I wanted to take the tip to ZW again. Frank helped me with organize a place where they could remove the old tyres so I just needed to bring single rims with me.
We stayed in ZW for two days, and the memories are unforgetable. Beautiful town with a lot of history all way for many thousand years!

Really want to do this more!

Saturday morning we discussed if we should make a trip to Nordschleife, or if we should visit the "new" Mercedes-Benz Museum.
Because of very hot weather and high temperature, the result became the Museum in Stuttgart.
20km before arriving in Stuttgart the ATA showed amazing 36,5 degrees!

Bild

In the street next to the museum we catch this new, but known car. The Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG.

Here are some pictures that I made at the museum.

Es war sehr nett, mit euch ein paar Tage zu verbringen.
So ein anständiger Besuch ist bei uns jederzeit Willkommen

Great pictures, looks like you had a great trip to Germany.

Nice to see that Asch Klasse 1 car is on display at the musuem. It used to be on display at the Motorsport Musuem at the Nürburgring, but when they closed down, Mercedes took it back and put it in storage at Fellbach, just outside Stuttgart.
