Like i mentioned earlier, the group A shell we looked at was beyond repair, so i had a local cage builder make me a copy of the 1989 Matter roll-cage as installed in all factory supported '89 Evo 1 (AMG, MS-Racing and Snobeck).
I expect him to be done by the end of the week. As soon as i get it back i will strip it of all remaning paint and body coating etc. Once that is done i will start doing the electrical wiring, installing all the plumbing for fuel, brake lines, fire extinguisher. All done according to the 89 AMG cars. I've spent hours going through all the photos i have made during my visits to current owners (Mr Rosengren and Persson), just to get it as close to the original as possible. I have really tried to get the correct parts, like wire, heat shrink, cable ties, hose fittings you name it. It take's time however. Probably spent more time researching than actually building...
