UPDATE:11/12/06
The 2.5 16v engine has been pulled apart and we are now waiting on some fordged pistons from the US, 0.5mm oversize too :D We also rebuilt the whole front end; new bushes, new shocks, new conrtol arms, etc and got some wheels for it. Will post pics of fordgies when I have them.

UPDATE:18/01/07
To start off I just received my custom fordged pistons from CP today and they will be going to the shop so the block and crank can all be machined and cleaned up nicely so it all fits together.

4 x fordged pistons 0.5mm oversize
8 x custom rings
4 x pins

They are 200g lighter than the standard piston.

As Chris already said, welcome and nice pictures! Especially the pistons look really interesting.

Michael,

as I told you on the Rev - you'll need a wire harness from / for a RHD car, right?

Looks realy good :thumbright:
Btw. where are you located in Australia ?
Have been twice there to visit my relatives !
Last time 1,5 years ago - have been in Sydney , Cairns , Port Douglas and s.o.
What i realized "down there" ;-) was that most people who own a Bimmer or a Merc put bling, bling rims on them- which i think don't really fit them ...but different countrys different taste ;-)

Wow, looks really good. Like new....
I should have done this too with my scews and bolts...
But i don´t know anyone who can do this.
what kind of coating is it?
Did you wrote a comment to my video at "you tube"?
It was written by someone from australia.
my you tube-name is evo2racer.
have a look on it.

I´m happy about people like you in this forum because you are far away and you like the same car like me. Especially the 190series 16V is hard to get there.
But answer me one question:
How did you come to this page?
Have a lot of fun here with us!
Greetings, Steffen.

I live on the Gold Coast, I am not really a fan of putting the bling bling wheels on my merc's. I came across this page from Bobby77, he told me about it when I was trying to buy something.

The coating of the bolts and screws is cadmium.

UPDATE:22/06/07

Finally received my main timing chain rail and new oil snorkel so the front cover was able to go on and so was the timing chain. Slight bump in the road gotta pull the pistons out again to get some spacers made up cause CP pistons screwed them up.
