-Tuned 16v engine an bigger brakes once the car becomes an old timer
-...

This is the story of my 1990 190d. I bought it in a bad shape like 3 or 4 years ago.
I wanted a 16v but my dad wouldn't let me buy one because it was to fast.
So i bought a diesel for 1600€.

Bild

The car was driven from the dealer to my house and the next day i was already screwing every body part of it an checked for rust. We fixed the dent left of the trunk removed the antenna and welded an angry look to the hood and removed the towing hook.

Bild

Then i ordered a Rieger evo3 widebodykit with the Infinity trunk spoiler and rear window spoiler.

Bild

It took like half a month to install the bodykit. The rieger widebody kit his quality sucks :x

Bild

Then came a set of 17 inch amg monoblocks and we renewed the disk brakes and widened the rear innerwheelwell.

Bild

Then i got the car and things like the doorhandles and window trims painted obsidian schwarz (2004) and installed a powersprint exhaust.

Bild

The result:

A picture from back in the days

Bild

Then i polished the lip on the amg rims and intalled a avantgarde grill and black taillights.

Bild

Here you can see the chrome inside of the headlights.

Then i repainted the car in the 2007 obsidian schwarz wich has a green shine it. The 2004 obsidian schwarz has a gold metalic in it.
I also bought a set of BBS le mans rims. I love them

Bild

And this year i had a photoshoot for the mercedes-tuner magazine.
Here are some pics of it. I'll upload the pages of the magazine once the new issue is out.

Welcome to our board.

Even if I'm not a fan of the Riger-Stuff, I have to say: The car looks fine and I like "Obsidian Schwarz" and also the BBS rims it looks like a "round" thing.

Btw. Rieger is well known for it's f*cking work to get it on the car.

Now it's time to get at least a (slow ;)) 2.5 Turbodiesel and modify/exchange the turbo, if can't get a 16V, to give it the power which it looks like.

Regards
- Nagi

Hello and wellcome to our board!

At first I have a question....
I have read the Mercedes Tuner, especiallythe article of your car.
I would like to know what kind of diesel engine you have.
In the technical facts the wrote 2,2Liters.....????

I didn`t know, that this engine was made in a 190E....not in europe!

So your car looks good, but I don`t like the Rieger-bodykit.
But I must say you did the fitting very well.
Not every EVO III is so good processed.

Redspect for your work!
I have heard many stories about the bad exactness of Riger-parts.
And you must had a lot of work, for this result!

Also a stock hood is waiting to be painted.

These are also waiting for the stock hood to be installed :D

With this in the fog ligths... bi-xenon is on the way for the regular lights.

And maybe a new exhaust system.

The problem with the engine is that every year i have to go to a technical check-up because my car isn't an old timer.
When your car is an old timer in belgium you only have to go once and that's it. In Belgium you can't get you car trough the technical check-up with an other engine in it then it is registered to.

Yeah the rieger kit was a bitch to instal :(
The 2,2liters is a mistake. I asked my dad the correct cc of my engine and he told me 2,2 but on paper it is a 1,997. He once mesured it in my brothers 200d w124
I looked it up and all 2 liter diesels are 1,997. So it's a mistake i guess.

Hallo Niels,

No they didn't ask me a thing.
I just mailed them that it is inpolite and very unproper to just use pictures of my car to make money for them withou even thanking me.

The guys of the mercedes-tuner magazine thanked me and gave me 1 copy of the issue that was out then and when the issue came out with my car in it they sended me 9 issues of the magazine and a cd-rom with the pictures on it.
