I started this project after i was done with my laptimer project. Now almost 6 months later i got a working unit now with a new LCD unit.
This means no more bleeding ATA Displays, but a nice new one with the correct temperature on it.

Sofar its working on those:
W124 unit OKE when it has the 20 pin connectors
W201 unit with part number: VDO: 201 542 00 27
I think the W126 will also work, when it has the 20 pin connectors
Sofar i get trouble getting them worked in this VDO case: 201 542 03 27 i think there is a rubber connector error because the displays are correct and working on the other onces.
By the end of next month i got the first batch of new screens ready so if people are interested they can be pre ordered. Price will be €45,- incl free shipping (38,50 pound) and install guide and warranty for 6 months if installed corrected. I can also repair it for you.
Check the pictures, its just like the original one, but this screen wont start bleeding for the next 20 years.
