We have replaced the automatic gearbox whit an manual under easter
in "jm-motorsports 2.5-16:
Link

But we found out a small problem yesterday when we took the car out for a
test drive:
The car have a problem to get over the 3-4500rpm mark, its as if the cars
ignition system cuts the spark to the engine on 3rd & 4th gear...
so its feels like the car has "hick-ups" just at this rpms....
The care works great under and over this rpm!

I made som thinking like Dr Baltazar and came to the conclution that
it must have somthing to do whit the
0025455114 TRANSMISSION OVERLOAD PROTECTOR SWITCH...
The part is: 185 & 180.

this is the only connector that I / we havent made any plug for...

Today I made a plug for the connector, and this made the problem better! but its a small hick up?

So, do any one REALY know HOW this switch/sensor work???
How dose it "talk" to the KE-jetronic?

The following is my idea
when you start the engine whit the automatic gearbox in place, the oil
inside the box start building up a pressure to get the torq for
moving the car forward. This pressure is about 1,8bar (at the sensor/switch)
and makes this pressure switch close and probebly tells the KE
that every thing is a-okay whit the gearbox for reving more then 3000rpms.

If it shouldent close, the gearbox tells the KE to get its self into "limp-home" mode
for not making any more damage to the sensitive inside of the automatic.

Is this corect?

If not, please tell me what to do so we can make the "hick-ups" go
away untill Hockenheim. :nixwiss

Hi Johan,

http://vs2062127.vserver.de/w201/viewtopic.php?t=1200

Fränk, I / we have already changed the gerbox!
 Gerbox change!

The car works 95% perfect!

No need to change any ignitionswitch, just leave
the wire from the ignition down to the gear lever be, and its works 100%

Also, why sould you change speedometer? please explain :?:

The ONLY "problem" we have no is that the car make a small hick-up around
3500-4000rpm, thats it!

The parts all togheter was aprox 1000eur, and it took two and a half day to
do the swop.

Hi Johan,
