Rear end-again

This time it´s Cecilias car.

Since we bought it there´s been an annoying "bump" sound from the rear.
I´ve obviously tried to "see" any flaws or faults to it...but nope.

Car sports the H&R cupkit since a while back,and before i changed it it also had the same annoying sound.
Sound...bit like a rear spring settling in its seat over and over.

Now..i´ve started to give some thought to if it could be one of the driveshafts/half shafts?

Further,sound seems to be coming mainly from the right rear.

Apart from the H&R kit car also has my solid Delrin subframe bsuhings installed in the front location of the subframe.
Swapping these obviously didn´t make for any difference either.

Have measured-both axial and diagonal-to see if the rear subframe could be dismembered or bent in any way...but nope..
Have checked the lower uniball of the trailing arms...nope..

SLS is obviously out as the car carries the cupkit..so can´t be that..

Also..sound DOES NOT harmonize with suspension movement,but seems to do so with LIGHT load..(loading/unloading of rear) AND with power on/off.

Any ideas?

Also, ich weiss nicht ob es das sein kann, aber ein Versuch ist es Wert. In der C-Klasse W203 gibt es dieses Geräusch. Und da wird ein Ventil in die Leitung eingebaut zum Aktivkohlefilter. Ob es aber dies bei unseren evtl. auch sein kann hab ich noch nicht probiert.

Ich hab nun mal nachgesehen und das wesentliche rauskopiert aus dem Dokument.

Beanstandung
Regelmäßig klopfendes Geräusch, das besonders in der Fahrgastzelle hinten rechts während des Regeneriervorgangs zu hören ist.

Ursache
Zwischen Einfüllstutzen und Tank befindet sich eine Rückschlagklappe, die beim Regenerieren durch den entstehenden Druckausgleich in Schwingung versetzt wird und Klopfgeräusche verursacht.

Abhilfe
Einbau eines Drosselventils in den Regenerierschlauch zwischen Regenerierleitung zum Regenerierventil und Aktivkohlebehälter.


Drosselventil zwischen Regenerierleitung und Aktivkohlebehälter nachrüsten.

A 203 476 03 32 Drosselventil 1 X
A 005 997 19 90 Schlauchschelle 1
Das sind die benötigten Ersatzteile.

Ich hoffe mal das es dieses Teil ist und das nervende Geräusch danach behoben ist. Würde mich interessieren ob dies bei den 16ern auch funktioniert.

Fantastic Senna!!
Mainly because we´ve had issues with fuel odour too.
Further,it sounds like it HAS to be something directly connected to the chassis(metallic to the sound),and the truth is that most of the stuff in the rear is suspended by rubber.
Further,we´ve had issues with fuel coming out the filler cap on occasion,and this with less than full tank.

Never thought that it could be connected with the noise though.
I´ll have a check today.

As it in that case seems to be for cars with cathalytical converters(KAT),that would also mean that cars that doesn´t have cat can´t very well suffer from this.?(As it´ll lack the carbon canister)

But...sure seems like it as like the text says..sound seems to come mainly from the right rear..and indeed..it does.
