Mercedes W201 190E 16V EVO

Hello

I am able to buy an 3.46:1 evo 2 differential, but i know these are shorter geared than a normal 16v diff

Can anyone maybe tell me how this will drive ? Sporty or nervious or ?

Hello Wesley,

if the engine without tuning does not reach a higher speed, I advise you off.
The 2.5-16V is too short translated with the 3.46er diff.
To recommend is the only slightly shortened translation with a 3.27er differential.

When converting to another differential is to be noted that the speedometer must necessarily be aligned.
Without adjustment the speedometer otherwise shows too much between 20 and 30 kmh.

sofern der Motor (ohne tuning) keine höhere Drehzahl erreicht, rate ich dir ab.
Der 2.5-16V (102990) ist mit dem 3.46er Diff zu kurz übersetzt.
Zu empfehlen ist nur die etwas verkürzte Übersetzung mit einem 3.27er Differential.

Beim umbau auf ein anderes Differential ist zu beachten dass der Tacho unbedingt angeglichen werden muß.
Ohne angleichung zeigt der Tacho ansonsten zwischen 20 und 30 Kmh zuviel an.
