Mercedes W201 190E 16V EVO

First of all the turbo. A 200 series Schwitzer of later design of 54mm compressor inducer.Will suffice to around the 500 mark.
Features things like the latest turbine designs,extended tip compressor tech,power slit in the compressor inducer and so forth.
IOW,sort of a state of the art huffer.
Exducer for those interested is approx 63mm.



The intake stacks.Full radii and on 50mm runner diameter.We get these made by close friend Tor of Nuke performance.

..in the last couple of days.Turned out very well.Made a simple jig for the runners not to warp from the heat of the welding.Final finishing still to come.



All of it of course controled by this VEMS unit under wideband O2 operation.

Idea at the moment is to part the job up a little.
1st is to get the engine up and running-without the turbo.
Install of the new intake and management system,followed by the built to fit intercooler.
Then,weld up the exhaust manifold and turbo part of the install.

Yeah,the idea is to post progress of the project-as i asume that there´s more people than Maki interested-in this little thread.

So..yup...pictures will be more as time goes by and the project evolves.

I figured as much Maki.
4 years to come to an end,turbos of the RIGHT size in place...yeah...it figures my friend.
Have to say tho,i put the turbo in the pic next to the one i use....and it looks downright small
Am i EVER biased...*ROTFLMAO*

None the less...54mm is 54mm and that will suffice a fair bit-at least for what we have in mind here.Right Maki;)?

Upcoming week tho...first thing´s first..to get the engine running,and to fab the intake...and we´ll take it from there.

Uhu...the idea is to haul my car down to hockenheim as well.
Not only that,but a couple of friends will hopefully tag along-as will Cecila with her 16V.

As for Makis EVO..just stay tuned and you get an idea as things evolve.

Honestly,it might just be that im overworked.
Dont feel like the flu or anything...just totaly and completely worn with a fever.

After some discussion as for the shifter bushings on EVOs.
Checked Makis today.
Indeed...it has steel bushings.
