Hi Marcel,

These are hard to find in condition that lack isnt broken. When Lack is broken, there is little possibility of repair as it must be sanded down to wood and if one touches wood by doing this its all gone!

My advice contact Stefan in w201.com he is specialised in machine cutting of wood and is very good. He can make you what ever you want if you provide him good "Schaltbrett"

He is using some Cuttingmachine what can also you do it yourself if you can find (borrow) the same small machine.

When he uses inside edge of "Schaltbrett" where big hole for shifter is, as leading edge for machine and on other side frasing head they move than parallel and it can be 100% accurate. Of course one marks it before cutting on wood with some CD Pen to be sure not to miss.

He is doing it with hand no CNC, this tool had that part that leads and than cutting head that follows so it is easy to copy one switch hole to another place.

All man needs is a little practice  and to cut newer model is a little easier than old model because one must not additionally make switch holders at edges and hole is all the way of same depth.

Festool 1010 EBQ

I know been doing it few times on my 190e to put more switches (as I am SA freak) with small drill and small file it can be done perfectly but too much work involved I wish I had than this Festool back then

Also there is smaller tools available, that fits in hand, which are better for our use, this is too big as for cutting big wood like for tables and furniture...

(Look in ebay for Bosch Oberfräse)

Thanks for the information!
In photoshop there is also an option like this ;)

They uses the same type for copying keys from cars by your local shoes repair shop, like your are saying it can be done 100% like the original but you need some practice, i will try to contact him about it and see if he can provide me some pictures of some of his work.
I have the speakers already in my car because the owner before me had 10CM round pioneer speakers in the rear.... i toke them out and installed original onces with the right covers, but now i have this option for 50%.... So when i got the federswitch in it its done :)

And yes the onces after 1988 are easyer, the old ones have 2 things in the holes which hold thes switches in place instead ot the frame beneat it.
Once again thanks for your information!
