wovon habt ihr gehört?
was bringt wirklich was?
wo bekommt man teile?
wer kann das machen?

bitte alles was ihr habt den bis jetzt bin ich überall auf die antwort gestossen "mach ja nix beim motor der geht schnell genug"

das kann ich als antwort nicht akzeptieren. :evil:

ich steh auf luxus und auf leistung!! deshalb fahre ich einen 16V-Benz :D

kat raus - bringt allerhöchstens 7PS ! siehe Rüf <-> Kat.

scharfe nocke bei thorsten ca. 10PS, ca 250euro ! das würde mich ernsthaft interessieren!
Ansaugbrücke polieren - aussage thorsten: "wesentlich spontaner untenrum" also sagen wir mal 5PS + 5NM
jetzt noch den Kat raus und ich hab knapp 190PS in meinem Kleinen Bild

As far as i´m concerned these days..the No1 mod to perform is the install of a stand alone EFI.
Simply put..toss that POS KE-jet out of there and be done with it already.
Reason?
Tuning it simply isn´t cost effective in comparsion.

A stand alone is a programable aftermarket management system.
Ie;Haltech,Hestec,GEMS,VEMS,Speed Pro asf.
..and before you shrug away from it...trust me when i say that install is MUCH easier than most would think.
As far as pollution legislation in deutschland tho...i for one would check that first.
But if it´s ok to perform such a modification..just do it.
The difference in behaviour as well a power isn´t on the same map as what can be had of the KE-jetronic.

To give you an idea..
I was around when the K systems were all we had to work with-back in the 80s.
Around here..laws permit us to modify cars a little more than the average european country,and...yeah well..i just happend to have an old Porsche 931 around that i used as daily transport.
Prob was..it was a damn slug...i mean..it couldnt move out of its own way.
So..
Hoisted the engine out of there and rebuilt it.
Used commonly available CHEAP forged Mahles for the VW type 1 engine.
Swaped the stock turbo for a K27 series instead and remade the entire intake system.
Because i´m a hardhead..i insisted on keeping the K-jet unit that was already on the car to show the younger generation that it CAN be done with a simple piggy back ad on fueler for the extra fuel needed due to the rather large turbo of choice.
Yep.
Did work.
After a LOT of headaches and a LOT of hard work.
None the less...we calculated that the K-jet housing by itself cost us around 50 horsepower at full bost(2 bars)
Just to give you an idea.

Now..i know how the K as well as the KE-unit is built.
From scratch up.
I know how to modify them for performance,and i´m here to tell you...
It simply isn´t cost effective.

Don´t get me wrong..
For the "small" mod guy...it´ll perform perfectly well,but when you want to increase power by for instance 30 hp or so...it just isn´t worth the hazzle to dive into it to make it perform these days.

Take a look at the VEMS unit for instance.
It´ll even within reason program itself...

that's exactly what i am doing to my new engine.Btw "I'm" building a 2.3-16V Turbo engine for my Evo.
I'll replace my original engine and put it beside for "later". But like you said I'll use an EFI in my car - for the reason that the KE-Jettronic can't handle the Fuelmanagement above 0,5bar boost.

Btw.
Close friend...by the name of Johan.
We recently converted his 2.5 to EFI.
In his case..he chose an EFI by the name of Omex 700.
His car...is BONE STOCK.
Down to the cats..exhaust,intake,airbox and what have you.
On the rollers(dyno)at SQR racing..the top figure reached was 235 horses.
By the intelligent install and tuning of an EFI ONLY.
Food for thought i´d say...

Johan settled for a more mundane map tho,as he opted for a more "kind" torq curve(he uses that 2.5 for track) that had a top note of 215.
Mostly to have some sort of margin.

das mit der scharfen nocke würde mich auch interressieren.
gibts die auch für den 2,5?
erfahrungswärte?
bzw einzeldrossel is ja mein ding da ich eher auf saugmotoren abfahre
aber thorsten wollte 6500 euro dafür das is doch weit ab von gut und böse.
aber im .com hat einer davon geschrieben das er sich das selber gebaut hat mit ca. 1700 euro kosten .
klar hat er nicht das rausgeholt wie bei thorsten aber is doch auch was.

kann mir vielleicht jemand genau erklären was da bei thorsten alles umgebaut wird das da eine leistungssteigerung von über 100 ps erzielt wird?
