Amazing piece of work...it really is...
Yeah.If memory serves me macks old car delivered something like 350sh@1,5 bar out of an old trim50L.?
I was also puzzled for a while by the low amounts of timing he ran.
Then i ran into a guy around here,Magnus, that was the other way around.
He was amazed of me getting away with as MUCH timing as i did, cause him-running a log type exhaust hedder and fairly small turbo-ran into detonation as low as 13deg at 1,5 bar.
Quick conclusion was that it was all in the backpressure.
Ergo sum...herein lies the reason why these engines will produce power the way they do when under boost.
The flow of these engines in stock form beats most anything out there, and the point when putting a huffer on them is to keep the original idea of an engine that FLOWS like a bat outta hell....
That´ll in turn let you keep the timing numbers UP..and power...will be the result-like nothing you could ever imagine.
As stated...we need to understand that turbo SYSTEMS are vastly more important that turbos per se..that the turbo chosen in just a piece of the puzzle.
Maki.Cool!! Now,see the difference in lenght?
Nagi...i´ll refrain from writing in swedish...for now at least
