Oil level of the rear self leveling suspension checking ?

i almost got my car on the road ! just waiting for my plates!
Because i got a france 16v the instruction manuel is in france to...
How many oil must be in the tank in the engine bay ? And what kind of oil ???
When to check ? when the car is running ? or not ?

please buy the suspension Oil (ZHM hydraulic fluid) at the mercedes dealer, than you dont get wrong.

But what about checking ? how ? when the engine is cold ? warm ? Running ? And between where and where is the ideal level ?
