I hope that next year not are on the same date as the norwegian MB gatherings next year. This year are both gatherings on the same date as they are in germany.
There is a lot of wrong theories around E85. You know that there are a lot of flexifuelcars on the marked. I will empty my car of E85 and fill it up with 98oct and drive it a bit before I park it for a long time, but when I use it I will have E85, E46+++++ on the tank. I was told to not drive on Ethanol al the time, but use the fuel I find. There is just a few gas shop that have E85 here.
I don't have two programs. If that i must run on std fuel or E85. i now have a sensor that measure the fuel that runs thru the fuelrail. That's why I can run on 95oct,98oct and E1 to E85. On a ke-jetronic car will E85 be a problem as long the amount of fuel are set.
I did mount 550ccm injectors as long my dealer said i need that. When I get to use my car I will see how much more fuel it use. I dont beleve that it use 50% more.
I gues that I use about the same or +10% on daily driving.
My engine do get more air and give more power than stock so it will use a bit more fuel to, that's for sure.I don`t use the knock sensor, but it is on the engine.
On a racecar will this be different. As long E85 may produce wather in the oil do you need to change oil after every race. And a hard tuned engine will use a lot more fuel when it are mapped on E85. On a 600hp engine you can get +100hp more when it are mapped on E85.
If the engine knocks with regular fuel, will that stop with E85. Experts say that E85 are simular to 109okctane fuel. And that cost 3-4 times more than E85. But it are more safe on a std engine. There is no problem to use racefuel on a stock 2.3-16.
