Mercedes W201 190E 16V EVO

Hello. I'm Pentti from Luxembourg.
I bought my 190e a few months ago from Perl Germany. Its from 84 with 280000km on the clock.
It was in a poor condition, unrestored and needed a LOT of welding at every corner.
After welding and massive ammounts TLC. I passed the technical control with it and now Its time to start the Evolution 1 project! :twisted:

-This is when I bought it: (didn't pay that sticker price for it :wink:

Mach das nicht bitte, die Umbau, es ist ein Kultauto 84er ECE!

Besser kaufen ein 190e und denn umbauen

(welcome to our Forum, but please dont do EVO Kit it is a cult car from its first production year. For a Evo project better buy a 190e and then make out of it an EVO)

A 84 ECE vehicle is very rare.
The color is very nice and fits well with the early vehicles.
I see it as shaq, consider whether you really want to rebuild the vehicle.
Of course is just a recommendation from me .... is your decision.

Also ich kann zu dem Wagen sagen das dieser in einem echt schlechten zustand ist. Rostbefall wo man nur hinschaut, vorallem heckbereich. Der Wagen stand nun schon über zwei jahre in Perl bei so nem Hinterhofhändler der sein Geld mit allem verdient nur net mit ehrlicher Arbeit. Wir ( ich. Klim, Meisterjäger ) hatten den Wagen schon damals getrennt voneinander besichtigt und alle Urteile waren vernichtend selbst wenn das Baujahr 84 selten ist.

Aber dennoch viel spaß mit deiner Anschaffung wünsch dir gutes gelingen.

Considering the amount of work and TLC you still have to do to this car, the better and even more valuable result is a well restored 1984 ECE - and not another FEVO, who's monetary value is near to nothing compared with the effort needed to build it.

On the other hand: just do it!
This will guarantee the value of my 1984 ECE

Nice one! But also the price isnt that bad i think.
Could you please some good pictures of the convertion here? And tell what you think about those UK evo1 parts?

Its looking amazing! If i got the money to lett it do myself i would do it also.... Sofar iam converting a normal 190E 2.0 to a Cosworth look alike ( inside and outside)
What are you planning to do more on the car?

Season start trackday at chambley -france was awesome! Oil, water, brakes stayed cool, only little problem was the tire clearance at the front so it was scrubbing on the inner wheel arches.
